Hyrdo testing: A hydrostatic test is a way in which pressure vessels such as pipelines, plumbing, gas cylinders, boilers and fuel tanks can be tested for strength and leaks. On paintball tanks the re-hydro date is 5 years from birth date.

 

The first number is the month and the second is the year. Example, this tank was born 7 (July) / 2005.

It will need to be re-hydro'd every 5 years (07/2010, 07/2015). Then after 15 years (07-2020) it can no longer be filled, period.
